Maximum transparency, best bird protection-suitable for almost any type of glass, formats up to 3.60 x 20 meters: using innovative sedak printing (registered design), less than 2% of the glass area needs to be printed in order to be large Eliminate bird collisions to a certain extent. The "Collision Laboratory" research confirms this efficiency.
Large areas of glass windows on buildings-no matter how heavy its structure-pose the risk of not being seen by birds. Reflections from trees or specific lighting conditions can be dangerous to birds because of their limited spatial vision. Therefore, there are various solutions on the market aimed at reducing bird collisions. The basis of this idea is to allow birds to recognize glass without having too much negative impact on the view through the glass.
Now sedak has managed to achieve the best collision protection (efficiency: collision reduced to 10%), while the printed glass area is less than 2%. This glass processing company has thus created two new records: no other bird-proof glass requires such a small printing area to achieve protection; at the same time, it achieves a higher level of protection than the alternative concept (as defined by the specification ONR 1040) . This is confirmed by scientific analysis carried out by the internationally recognized “Collision Laboratory” (Hohenau-Ringelsdorf/Austria) Institute, which specializes in bird protection.
Use digital printing to place scratches and UV-resistant patterns on the glass. When it is further processed into a laminate, it is printed on the outside (POS1). Therefore, thermal insulation and safety glass with efficient bird protection can be made into a 3.60 x 20 meter format.
According to customer requirements, two variants are available: dots or squares, arranged in a homogeneous grid. Sedak offers an optically different but equally effective alternative: printing in precious metal colors. The printed images and tones have a discreet, elegant and beautiful appearance. Therefore, printing is also very suitable for complex architectural design. As an expert in oversized glass, sedak already possesses production expertise: the largest ceramic printing is a mature technology here. Now, the trend of more transparent buildings with high proportions of glass is realized in complex and beautiful variants, with a particularly high level of protection for birds.
